There Is More To Essure Than Convenience

Monday, May 28, 2018 - There are several features of the Essure Birth Control Device that make it an attractive alternative to other forms of Birth Control. For one, the Essure procedure can be performed in the comfort and convenience of your doctor's office without any drug except a mild sedative and the patient can be home in time to eat dinner. Tubal ligation and hysterectomies require admission to a hospital and are surgically performed under general anesthesia. Essure is non-invasive and does not require surgery. The Essure birth control device is a thin metal, a spring-like coil that is inserted into the vagina and placed up against the inner walls of the Fallopian Tubes. The coil is designed to create inflammation in the Fallopian tissue and uses the scar tissue that the body produces to affix the device in place. For many years the Essure device was marketed to women as the best way to "temporarily" prevent pregnancy and that it could be removed when a couple decided they wanted to have children. Unfortunately, most of these assumptions turned out to be false and tens of thousands of Essure women have had to have the device and most of their reproductive organs surgically and permanently removed.

Thousands of Essure women have experienced allergic reactions and autoimmune abnormalities as a result of the Essure implant. Essure is made of nickel, a potentially toxic heavy metal. Essure women are experiencing lesions on the lower torso, all-over body rashes, fatigue, fever, cramps, and hair loss from Essure nickel toxicity. When the device is removed women report these symptoms usually subside. Another life-threatening unforeseen side effect of Essure is that it doesn't always stay put where a gynecologist places it, attached to the inner walls of the Fallopian Tubes. Essure tends to migrate into the uterus and puncture it causing extreme pain and abnormal bleeding. When all or a part of Essure comes loose and migrates to the Uterus a woman experiences longer, more frequent and more painful periods. When Essure migrates to another organ in the reproductive system, it can become encased in scar tissue and require the removal of the entire reproductive organ, the exact procedure Essure was sold to the woman to replace. Essure women complain of pain so constant and intense that they are left bedridden.

Essure's maker, the German pharmaceutical, and medical device maker Bayer Inc., currently faces over 16,000 Essure lawsuits from women who have suffered from the side effects of Essure for their negligence in bringing a faulty medical device to market. There are over 35000 members of the Essure Problems social media group that catalogs the details of thousands of unforeseen adverse effects Essure women suffer from. Currently over 300 fetal deaths have been linked to the Essure device from unwanted pregnancies that were either terminated by abortion, miscarriage, or stillborn.
